Our Journey

Founded in 2016 by Damien Kasselman, our journey began with a desire to align work ethic with personal values. What started as a small hobby of making furniture quickly evolved into decking installations, leading to the establishment of DK Creations. A pivotal moment came when one of South Africa’s leading artificial grass suppliers approached us to install artificial grass on their behalf. Embracing this challenge, Damien underwent rigorous training and began operations with a small team. The demand for artificial grass surged during the drought, allowing our business to flourish. As we grew, we expanded our team with experts in various fields, enabling us to add paving services to our portfolio. By 2020, DK Turf & Paving had broadened its offerings to include a wide range of building services such as boundary walls, swimming pools, fireplaces, garages, and other extravagant outdoor construction projects. In 2021, we ventured into interior renovations, cabinetry, kitchens, tiling, and specialised services. As of 2023, we introduced in-house steel fabrication and expanded our offices in Edgemead. We also began importing products like artificial grass and other materials. These advancements allowed us to take on larger and more diverse projects—from niche outdoor constructions to large-scale sports facilities and bespoke designs. Our suppliers trust us as preferred installers, while architects and contractors rely on us for their projects.
